Sam Breazeale performed Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2, Dovie Jeffcoat performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 8, Malachi Kittelmann performed Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.1, and Sophie Wang, violinist, performed the Carmen Fantasy by Pablo de Sarasate.

The 34 piece orchestra was composed of professionals and other highly trained musicians giving of their time and talents for this performance to encourage young talented musicians. The orchestra, with concertmaster, Mary Lee Taylor Kinosian, was conducted by Kimberly Sullivan, the conducting assistant with the SC Philharmonic.

The vision is for this to be an annual event held in the summer to highlight young solo artists of any instrument to play their piece as the composer intended with orchestra. If you would like to contribute to this project for next year, please call organizer Joey Rothfuss 803-781-0232.
