Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in indentifying the suspect(s) wanted for theft from motor vehicle and motor vehicle tampering.

Sheriff Leon Lott states that between 11:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 and 7:20 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2012, at Whitewater Drive, Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call that unknown suspect(s) stole from one vehicle and tampered with another at the 200 and 500 block of Whitewater Drive (Irmo).

• Victim 1 stated that the suspect(s) entered in the vehicle ( 2005 Chevy Tahoe SUV) through the front door and stole money from a cup holder.

• Victim 2 stated that the suspect( s) tampered with his vehicle. ( 2005 BMW X3) The suspect was captured on video surveillance equipment as he used a flashlight to look through the victims’ vehicle.
