I have lived relatively deep in a forest for over four decades. I have killed a few critters that I thought, at the time, were ruining my life. Tho, I felt a sincere sense of relief, I was far from acquiring a warm and fuzzy feeling from the deed. If you are truly hungry, there’s always fresh road kill to be had.

In my time, I’ve only come across one man who was a true hunter, in that he looked as though he really needed the deer that he killed. All the rest of the hunters I have encountered are murderers. It’s that simple. That our culture glorifies taking lives of other species for reasons that cannot stand the light of day is part of the mindset that is why the earth is in peril.

Yes, the Braggin’ Board is beyond offensive; it is a sin. I commend you for printing the article signed: the average citizen. At least you got that right.
