Sandlapper Singers present multimedia concert experience March 30

Power Company Dancers Power Company Dancers The final concert in the series “Music that Moves the Body, Heart, & Soul” will be “Songs of the Spirit,” presented Friday March 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dreher Performing Art Center, 3319 Millwood Avenue. This continues another season of American Music, American Sound under the direction Dr. Lillian Quackenbush, founder and artistic director.

The audience will be invited to do some “soul” spring cleaning as the Sandlappers welcome special guest artists the Concert Choir from Benedict College, directed by Dr. Linda Kershaw; the Power Company contemporary dance ensemble, Martha Brim Artistic Director; and display artwork from children who lived in the ghetto of Terezin.

Combining vocal, instrumental, visual, and dance elements with special lighting immerses the concert attendee in a wonderful artistic experience. Music will include selections by Moses Hogan, Bobby Mc- Ferrin, Paul Basler, and Donald McCullough’s Holocaust

Cantata featuring cellist Dusan Vukajlovic.

A reception will follow the concert.
