Despite a slow start, the Dreher Lady Blue Devils were able to knock off the Airport Lady Eagles 60- 21 Tuesday, January 31.

Kaydra Duckett led the Blue Devils with 18 points. Johneisha Myers added 15, and Jazmine Robinson finished with 10 for Dreher. Brittany Martin led Airport with six points.

The Lady Blue Devils came out like they were ready for an easy win scoring the first six points of the game but struggled through the rest of the quarter. Points from Makayla Johnson and Jazmine Robinson helped Dreher hold a 12-7 lead going into the second.

The second quarter didn’t see much scoring at all. Airport failed to break into the scoring column, while Duckett, Jordan Starr, and Alexis McNeal provided all six points for the Lady Blue Devils.

Dreher’s offense picked up the intensity in the second half. An 11-point halftime lead ballooned to 20 less than six minutes into the third quarter. Duckett and Myers provided the majority of the scoring for Dreher.

Kelly Murray and Shanice Patterson provided some scoring for Airport in the second half, but it was not enough to stop the Lady Blue Devils scoring attack as Dreher prevailed.
