Airport High School JROTC bound for national championship event



Airport High School’s JROTC Drill Team edged out JL Mann and Blythewood High Schools Saturday, January 21 to win their second consecutive All Army State High School Drill Team Championship. The competition was held at Blythewood High School. The drill team will now compete at the All Army National High School Drill Team Championship in Louisville, Kentucky March 31. At Saturday’s state event, the AHS team placed: 1st Squad regulation w/Arms, 1st Inspection w/o Arms, 1st Platoon Exhibition w/Arms, 1st Squad Exhibition w/Arms, 2nd Color Guard, 2nd Squad Exhibition w/o Arms, 2nd Individual Exhibition w/Arms, 3rd Platoon Regulation w/o Arms, 3rd Inspection w/Arms, 3rd Duet w/o Arms, 4th Platoon Regulation w/Arms, and 1st Place Overall.
