Miss Connick and Mr. Williams exchange vows in New Orleans
Katherine Grace Connick of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Christopher James Williams of Columbia were married June 18 at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Church. Father Richard Charles Hermes, S.J. of Tampa, Florida, and Deacon Joseph Robert Stephens, uncle of the bridegroom, of Birmingham, Alabama, performed the 6:30 p.m. Nuptial Mass.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul David Connick Jr. of New Orleans, is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul David Connick Sr. of Gretna, Louisiana, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Joseph Dutrey of New Orleans. The bride graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia where she received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism with a major in public relations and a minor in sociology. For the past five years, she has resided in New York City where she was employed by Coach, Inc. as a merchandising manager for the North American Retail Division.
The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eugene Williams Jr. of Columbia, is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eugene Williams Sr. of Columbia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Louis Stephens of Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a major in finance and a masters degree in business administration with a concentration in strategic management and leadership from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. He is currently employed as project analyst with Barriere Construction Co. in New Orleans.
The maid of honor was Claire Elizabeth Connick, sister of the bride, and the matron of honor was Taje Williams Davis, sister of the bridegroom. The attendants were Michelle Dutrey Newlin and Emily Newlin Stine, cousins of the bride; Ashley Christine Costanza; Elizabeth Fleming Clay; Michelle Antoinette Terrebonne; Laura Napoli Turner; and Elizabeth Zatarain Wade. The flower girls were Rose Marie Davis, niece of the bridegroom; Charlotte Jane Connick, cousin of the bride; and Julia Nordquist Duplantis. Gift bearers were Sara Kate Connick and Katherine Terese Stansberry, cousins of the bride.
The bridegroom’s father served as best man. The groomsmen were Brendan Paul Connick, Finnan Patrick Connick, Lorcan Louis Connick, brothers of the bride; James Thomas Connick Jr., William Peter Connick Jr., cousins of the bride; Thomas Michael Davis, brother- in- law of the bridegroom; and Matthew Stephen Williams and Robert Eugene Williams III, brothers of the bridegroom. The ushers were Brennan Thomas Williams and Mark Joseph William Jr., cousins of the bridegroom; Justin Walker Clay; Christopher Hughes DeTreville; Brian Michael Isern; William Gourdin McMaster Jr.; David Phillip Mubarak; Tyler Brent Stephens; and Eric Robert Thompson.
A reception followed at the Orléans Club.
After their honeymoon in Anguilla, the couple will continue to reside in New Orleans.
