Columbia’s newest police officers graduate

The City of Columbia recently graduated its newest police officers. Thirteen recruits spent the last nine weeks learning basic police skills at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and will soon be ready to begin patrolling the streets of Columbia to keep our communities safe.

The Columbia Police Department has been consistently recruiting high caliber candidates who have a strong desire to improve the quality of life for our citizens.

The following CPD Officers are graduates of Basic Law Enforcement Session 567: Henry R. Ford, Preston D. Avery, Alexander

S. Broder, Richard J. Cullop, Paul K. Dexter, Mark Anthony Ferrusi II, Zachary J. Jackson, Kyle J. Kent, James T. Lierer, Brad W. Markevicz, Aubrey P. Richardson III, Travis D. Rodgers, and Candi Y. Shealy.
