Petal Pushers hold February meeting

Frances Morris was the hostess for the February 17 meeting of the Petal Pushers Garden Club at her lovely home in Spring Valley. Co– hostess was Louise Grooms. They served delicious refreshments. The president, Shirley Smith, presided at the business meeting. The nominating committee presented the slate of officers for the new year: president,

Louise Grooms; vice president, Shirley Smith; recording secretary, Fran Sims; corresponding secretary, Judy Glenn; and treasurer, Dorothy Strickland. Ruth Rochal was warmly greeted as well as other special guests: Dan Rochal, Leesa Smith, and Kay Morris.

Bernice Folsom, a longtime member of Ikebana International Chapter 182, made two beautiful arrangements im the Sogetsu School Style.

Shirley Smith presented a display of cleverly decorated rocks she shares with people in hospitals and nursing homes. Smith’s “ Rock Therapy” reminds everyone that Christ is with them always. The March meeting will be at the Carriage House of the Robert Mills House. Hostesses will be Nora Ann Frye and Drucy Siokos.
