Rocketman—Elton John Tribute to benefit Nancy K. Perry’s Children Shelter

It’s a Concert, no – it’s a Tribute to Sir Elton John, no–it’s a kindness to the children.

On January 29, 2011, at 7:30 p.m., Greg Bickley and his band Tokyo Joe will perform the “Rocketman– Elton John Tribute” at the Koger Center for the Arts. The proceeds from the show will go to Nancy K Perry’s Children Shelter!

The shelter is suffering budget cuts along with the rest of society. The kids have lost their funds for mental health. Donations are down and children arrive at the shelter on a regular basis. These children are our future—we have to take care of them so they will grow to be responsible, secure, and productive adults.

The Woman’s Club of Cayce is the promoter of the concert, but the sponsors have played a tremendous part in the evolution of the show. Scott’s Auto Repair and Pal Med made it possible to pay the deposit for the Koger Center.

Chronicle are doing “In Kind” advertising. SC Bank and Trust, Sam and Donall Bowser, Pretty Pictures Photography, Signs 2 Go, and Long’s Drugstore support, will insure that most of the productions “costs” are covered. Potential sponsors may contact Vickie Lovett at 803.739.2275 or prettypic@ aol.com.

Greg Bickley is actually the biggest sponsor, promoter, and producer, though. He is the entertainment for the night and the children’s HERO for life.

A short bio of Tokyo Joe: Formed in 1996, the band has independently released 5 CDs and performs an average of 200 shows a year in the Southeast. Greg Bickley is the spotlight of the entertainment. For more information/ history, go to: http://www.tokyojoe.net/
