Beatles Tribute Band to perform at Lexington Garden Party

Wingard’s Nursery & Garden Center is bringing back a world–renowned Beatles tribute band “The Return” to headline its 5th Annual Art In The Garden customer celebration Friday, October 8, 7–10 p.m. The magical 1960s evening under the stars with the Fab Four will also include a silent auction, 15 local artists (sculpture, painting, metalwork and photography) and gourmet food by Dupre Percival.

Tickets are $35/person and are available at Wingard’s Nursery & Garden Center, 1403 North Lake Drive at the intersection of Highway #6 and Pilgrim Church Road near the Lake Murray Dam. Proceeds from the event support Lexington Interfaith Community Services (LICS) (www.liscsc. org). LICS, in its 31st year, is a non–denominational, non–profit, faith– based organization that provides assistance for individuals and families who are emerging from hurting situations by providing for basic needs and by creating environments that allow people to make hopeful life changes.

Parking this year will be at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, directly across from Wingard’s Nursery. Shuttle buses will bring music and art fans back and forth to Wingard’s. The ticket price includes a Lowcountry buffet dinner prepared by Dupre Catering, beverages from Sam’s Fine Wines & Spirits, art from the works of leading Midland’s artists, a silent auction, and an energetic two–hour concert in the garden. Author Sharon R. Paeth also will sign copies of her new book Lexington. B106’s Tony Clyburn will emcee the evening.
