The Dreher High School boys and girls cross country teams are reloading this season.

The girls lost four runners who participated in the Class 3A state meet, but a solid, deep team returns.

Senior Allyson Hill leads the 13–member team, which is buoyed by a seven–member junior class. Hill missed last year’s Class 3A state meet due to an injury. Cameron Smith is the only other senior girl. Karina Colon, Cami DeLucy, and Toni Priester lead the contingent of juniors.

Among the youngsters, freshman Ashebrook Guinn returns to Dreher, for which she ran as a seventh– grader before moving to Aiken for last school year. She has already cracked the 20–minute threshold.

The boys will have to do without Quayshawn Hawkins, who will miss the season due to injury.

Juniors Julian Scott, brothers Noah and Samuel Trump, and Zachary Thompson are being looked to by coaches to lead the team, which has only two seniors: Taylor Jackson and Joe LeBlanc. Sophomore Nick Putnam has shown promise. Numbers will not be a problem; 24 runners are out for the squad.
