Event activities include a one–mile “dog walk” poker run where a dog and his human walk a preset course stopping at sponsor checkpoints to receive playing cards. The best poker paw wins. There will also be a silent auction & dog show starring your pooch with lunch and goodie bag included. Families are welcome, and if you prefer not to bring your own pooch, you can Rent–a–Rescue Rover at the park.

$20 per human/dog team includes one poker hand, tote bag, & boxed lunch; $5 donation to Rent–A–Rescue Rover; $5 each Rescue Reunion Dog Show entry; $5 each for additional poker hand; $5 each for additional boxed lunches

PAALS (Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services) and the Heartworm Project are teaming up again to raise funds to train assistance dogs for people with disabilities and provide medical intervention and find permanent homes for shelter dogs & cats.
