The Therapy Place, a traditional and innovative therapy center for special needs children, held its grand opening Saturday, August 14 at its 3620 Covenant Drive location. The event included activities for children, slide shows, barbecue, and more. Begun as the dream of two mothers of special needs children, Dawn Darby and Susan Abell, to bring innovative therapies closer to home, The Therapy Place is now able to provide traditional and innovative therapies and recreational opportunities for the special needs child in Columbia in an environment that is family–friendly and includes resources and education for the parents/ caregivers.
