Indian Guides sign up August 15 and 22
Indian Guide recruits participate in the “Chicken Dance.”
The YMCA Father (or Guardian) and Child program Y–Guides will be hosting informational and sign up days at the area YMCAs, Sunday, August 15 and 22, from 3 p.m.–5 p.m. All families interested in the program are encouraged to attend and learn about the Indian Guides. Refreshments and crafts will be provided along with information on the program. Sign up soon because the fall campout is September 25.

The Lexington Family YMCA and the Irmo (North West) YMCA will host their informational day August 15. The Jeep Rogers (Lake Carolina) YMCA and the Orangeburg YMCA will host their informational day August 22.
The Indian Guides program seeks to strengthen the bonds between parent and child and foster a relationship that will continue to grow along with the child. By investing time now, both parents and children reap the benefits for years to come. The Indian Guides is for children in grades Kindergarten through third or fourth grade. The Trailblazers is for children in grades four and up.
Indian Guides encourage parents to attend and participate in the program activities together with their child.
