Palmetto Thrift Store & Gift Boutique has opened a new mega–sized location at 4068 Fernandina Road in Columbia, on the frontage Road between Piney Grove and Harbison. The entire store’s official Grand Opening was held Saturday, July 24.

The Fernandina location, serving as the store’s headquarters and only location (as the St. Andrews Road store has closed), is in need of gently used or new clothing and other items. Although the majority of the items at Palmetto Thrift Store & Gift Boutique are gently pre–owned, the store, offers new items like girls bows, jewelry, and purses.

Palmetto’s Thrift Store & Gift Boutique donates 50% of its profits to Children’s Chance to help families throughout the Palmetto State who have children fighting cancer.

Palmetto Thrift store is now accepting donations of the following items: clothing (men’s, women’s, and children’s), housewares, furniture, books, linens, jewelry, purses, shoes, and accessories. Stop by the new Fernandina Headquarters anytime Monday–Saturday between 10 a.m.–7 p.m. or on Sundays from 1:30 p.m.–6 p.m.

Children’s Chance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the financial, psychological, and emotional needs of South Carolina children and families affected by pediatric cancer. Proceeds from Palmetto’s Thrift Store will fund a variety of programs to assist these families during their child’s cancer diagnosis, treatment, and either recovery or end of life.
