N.C.–based restaurant to replace Bob Andrews

By Josh Cruse

Four weeks ago demolition began on two buildings at the 1100 block of Harden Street in the area that formerly housed old Bazaar and Bob Andrews Motors. Demolition on the buildings has been complete, but Carolina Wrecking, the company in charge of the demolition, is waiting on a permit to demolishing the concrete slab that remains.

The building that housed Bob Andrews Motors had been abandoned for almost a year–and–a–half while the Bazaar occupied many businesses until the demolition took place. Crest Construction, from North Carolina, is in charge of the construction of N.C.–based Cook Out Restaurant that will take the place of the two buildings. Plans are currently under review.
