Article was right on

Kudos to Julia Rogers Hook. I always enjoy her interesting and informative articles, and last week her article about the lily pond on Trenholm Road was right on. While my husband and I do not live in Arcadia Lakes, we do live by in Northeast and frequently pass by. Imagine how heartbroken we have been to see the pond drained with all the beautiful lilies dying in the bottom.

Columbia had a unique, beautiful site in this pond, and why someone in their right mind would want to fill it and build yet another apartment complex over it I cannot imagine. What is wrong with zoning laws that a builder can specify building one thing on a piece of land and then change and build an eyesore? We had the same thing happen with that huge apartment complex on Trenholm Extension. It was interesting to note the
