The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation and the Richland County Recreation Commission will host the 2010 Midlands Senior Olympics Trials adults 50 and over. Qualifying events include billiards, September 20, 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., Woodland Park, 6500 Olde Knight Parkway; Bingo, September 20, a.m.–noon, Eau Claire Print Building, 3907 Ensor Avenue; golf, September 20 8:30 a.m. tee off, LinRick Golf Course, 356 Camp Ground Road; tennis, September 21, 9 a.m., South East Park Tennis Center, 951 Hazelwood Road; bowling, September 21, 10 a.m.–2p.m., Royal Z Lanes, 8512 Two Notch Road; badminton, September 21, 1 p.m., Trenholm Park, Covenant Road and Bethel Church Road; swimming, September 22, 3 p.m., Charles R. Drew Wellness Center, 2101 Walker Solomon Way; track and field, September 22, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., Meadowlake Park, 600 Beckman Road; fitness walk, horseshoes, spincasting, frisbee golf, September 23, 8:30 a.m., Maxcy Gregg Park, 1605 Park Circle. Participants who register by early–bird deadline August 31 will pay $13. The registration fee is $15 if paid by September 17.
