Teachers Curing Kids Cancer fundraiser at Dent Middle School
Brent Wilson
The Dent Middle School Beta Club raised over $1,300 for Teachers Curing Kids Cancer by having students, teachers, and staff donate money in a teacher’s name.
The teacher with the most money donated in his/her honor would have to either get a pie in the face or dress like a woman for the day.
The “winner” was orchestra teacher Brent Wilson who not only wore a dress but also a wig and full make–up much to the students’ delight.
The money raised through Curing Kids Cancer will go to Palmetto Richland Children’s Hospital for pediatric cancer research.
Coaches Curing Kids Cancer also hosted the Fourth Annual Killian Owen Memorial Golf Tournament in Orangeburg on June 5 in honor of Palmetto Richland patient Seth Ewing who is battling leukemia.
