Airport High School donates to Camp Kemo
Every spring Airport High School holds “Charity Drive Week” that includes daily fundraising events such as food fest, silent auctions, Miss Eagle pageant, “send a goat,” pie throw, tug of war, bake sale, garage sale, kick ball tournament, hat stickers for students, jeans stickers for teachers, T–shirt sale, penny wars, Sonic car hop and spir it night, coffee house, and breakfast and lunch items for sale. The proceeds are donated to Camp Kemo every year, and this year the exact total presented by Airport High School students and staff to representatives of Camp Kemo was $25,542.45. Lexington County Sheriff James Metts attended this year’s ceremony.
