St. Peter’s Catholic School teachers were recently treated to a little R&R while one of their neighboring schools' art teacher, Bob Bramhall, came to teach art.
Bramhall, St. Joseph’s School’s art teacher, volunteered his time and talent to teach art to the St.Peter’s students in grades one through six.
St. Peter’s has been without an art teacher because of budget cuts.
Once Bramhall heard this, he approached Kathy Preston, St. Peter’s principal, to see if he could volunteer and teach some art classes. Preston readily said, “Yes.”
The students at St. Peter’s created ink monsters, made recycled necklaces, and did spin art.
Second grader Samantha Ferrell stated, “After my spin art plate was finished, I felt like it was going to The Art Museum!”
St. Peter’s and St. Joseph’s Catholic Schools are both in the Diocese of Charleston School District.
