Thirty–four young people were welcomed into the Shandon United Methodist family April 25, 2010. Members include: John Andrews, Will Arnette, Erin Austin, Emma Birchmore, Foster Blackstone, Matt Bone, Edward Bouknight, Robert Byrd, Gus Cole, Gracie Curran, Zachary Daniel, Gibbes deLoach, Billy Dreyer, Scott Goettee, Nancy Welch Graf, Liddy Grantland, Andrew Graybill, Will Holstein, Hannah Dial Huffman, Caroline Kenney, Elliott Kissam, Katherine Kristinik, Zac Lipsitz, Sarah Manning, Chas May, Perry Meadors, Williams Mims, Taylor Nicholson, Payon Phillips, Jessica Roberts, Hannah Robins, Marlene Robinson, Ashley Stone, and Morgan Strawther. The confirmation mentors are John Grantland and Jennifer Parker, Michael Graf and Emily May, Larry Kristinik and Beth Andrews, Lawton Blackstone and Michelle Roberts, John deLoach and Margaret DiBiase. The sixth grade Sunday School teachers are Clelia Moore, Carolyn Hall, Carla Graf, and Anne Graybill.
