Blythewood Middle School held their annual Field Day with the theme being “Football,” on April 1, 2010. Each homeroom represented either a college or NFL team and The

Blind Side was the movie of the day. Field events reflected a football theme as well.

The surprise of the day was a visit from the New Orleans Saints Jonathan Goodwin, who actually has three cousins who attend BMS. Goodwin came to visit, sign autographs, and pose for pictures.

Goodwin, who attended the University of Michigan, is the starting center for the Super Bowl champions. Goodwin was also a Pro Bowl selection in 2009.

Jamie Westmoreland’s eighth grade homeroom selected the Saints as their team. Goodwin paid a special visit to Westmoreland’s homeroom.
