Mungo contributes aid to fire victims
Mungo Homes has pledged $10,000 to assist victims of a fire that destroyed a Lexington apartment building and damaged two others Friday, April 23. Fire ravaged 16 units at the Waterway Apartments on Northpoint Drive. Although reports to date do not identify how many residents have been affected, the Red Cross has opened a shelter for those displaced.
Mungo Homes CEO, Steven Mungo, responded immediately with an offer to assist residents by making the $10,000 donation to the Red Cross. Mungo praised the quick response of the fire department and stressed the importance of properly working fire alarms. No lives were lost in the blaze Friday night.
