Spring Valley student elected vice president of Davidson SGA
Gerard J. Dash
A Columbia student, Gerard J. Dash, has been elected vice president of the Student Government Association (SGA). He is the son of Gerard and Demetria Dash of Brookmist Street and is a 2008 graduate of Spring Valley High.
The SGA vice president is a voting member of the organization who serves on the Senate executive committee, oversees all standing committees, and assists the president.
A political science major and premedical student at Davidson, Dash previously served as a Student Government Association senator and chaired its election committee. He has also been treasurer of the College Union Board, a resident advisor for the Residence Life Office, and a member of the Black Student Coalition. He plays club–level tennis and holds a Wachovia Scholarship.
