Six weeks remain before the Rosewood Crawfish Festival on May 1 from 11 am–8 pm, and the planning is well under way. Rebecca Munnerlyn, Rosewood Community Council president, discussed some of the attractions at this year’s events at the Rosewood Community Council meeting March 18.

One of the early highlights of the event will be the 5K run and the 1K walk the morning of the event. Munnerlyn urged participants to sign up for the walk early rather than wait until the day of the event. The early registration fee for the run and the festival is $25; the day of the event it is $40. The owners of Rockaway’s have offered their back parking lot for a Community Expo Area.
