Falcons blank Blue Devils

In the first half of Tuesday, March 16, match up of the Dreher Blue Devils and the A.C. Flora Falcons, Dreher had more opportunities to score than A.C. Flora. However, the Blue Devils were unable to put one in, while the Falcons took advantage of their looks putting two in the back of the net on the way to a 5–0 win.
Dreher’s offensive onslaught began in the opening minutes of the first half. Between the six minute mark and the eight, the Blue Devils had three corner kicks and a free kick on A.C. Flora’s side of the field yet were unable to produce a goal. In the 11th minute, it appeared that Florian Boss was going to end the drought as he dribbled from near midfield to the top of the box; however his shot was stopped by A.C. Flora goalie Adam Frantz.
The Falcon’s first legitimate opportunity to score came at the 29th minute of the first half when Daniel Weldon scored on a shot to the bottom corner of the goal to give A.C. Flora a 1–0 advantage.

Nine minutes later, the Falcons added another goal when Alex Richards scored following an A.C. Flora throw in giving the Falcons a 2–0 lead going into halftime.
In the second half, Dreher tried again to put a goal on the board when Boss attempted another shot from the top of the goal at the 46th minute. Again it was stopped by Frantz. The Falcons extended their lead just minutes later when Robbie Cook got his own rebound and put it back in for the score and a 3–0 lead.
A.C. Flora wasn’t done. At the 67th minute a shot from Cameron Wegrzyn from the middle of the box hit the back of the net extending the lead to 4–0. Jackson Richards finished the scoring with a goal giving A.C. Flora the 5–0 shutout of Dreher.
