CUFC 99 Girls Blue do it again

The Columbia United 99 Girls Blue team (a U10 group) won the U11 Black division (8 v 8) of the Columbia United FC’s St. Patrick’s Day Cup held this past March 13–14. The girls won three matches and tied one. They allowed just one goal and scored 14 on teams from NC, West Virginia, Tennessee, and SC. Since the Fall of 2008, 99 Blue has entered seven tournaments. The team has won five and was a finalist in two compiling a total tournament record of 24 wins, three ties, and one loss scoring 112 goals and allowing just 19 over that time frame. Jerry Campanaro is the coach and Coley Brown is the team manager. The girls and Coach Campanaro wish to congratulate their fellow U10 champs, the Columbia United 99 Girls Black and Red teams, who each won their own division titles. Coach Campanaro also congratulates all the teams that participated in the CUFC St. Patrick’s Day tournament which consisted of 213 teams from seven states. Other Columbia United winners included 00 Girls Blue, 97 Girls Blue, 96 Boys Palmetto, 95 Boys Palmetto, 95 Girls Palmetto. 00 Boys Red and 95 Boys Elite were finalists.
