Ann Brodie’s Carolina Ballet will present “Romeo and Juliet” together with “Othello: Passion Re-venged” and “Hamlet: Lamentations,” for two performances only, April 1, 2010, at The Koger Center for the Arts at the University of South Carolina. The morning matinee is at 10 am. The evening performance is at 7:30 pm.

Despite the maturity of the subject matter, these ballet adaptations are treated with artistry suitable for families. According to Artistic Director, Mimi Worrell, one of Carolina Ballet’s major pre–professional components is educating young dancers and audiences while giving them the opportunity to experience dance training and performance in a totally professional atmosphere and environment.

Special group tickets are available for the morning matinee performance by contacting the Columbia Music Festival Association at 803-771-6303.

Individual tickets for the morning and evening performances are available by calling the Koger Center at 803-251-2222 or at www.capitoltickets.com.
