South Lubes Inc, a Jiffy Lube franchisee that has stores in NC, SC, and FL, has raised $17,898 for the Boy Scouts of America. The generosity of the Columbia community helped Jiffy Lube centers raise approximately $2,902 for the Boy Scouts of America Columbia, SC council.
This campaign raised funds through savings books and ran November 16–January 31. During this time, customers were asked to participate by driving to their local Jiffy Lube and making a small donation to support the Boy Scouts and in return received a savings book with $50 in preventive– maintenance savings. The proceeds benefit the local Boy Scouts council in which the donation was made.
For nearly a century, the Boy Scouts of America has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America as well as Jiffy Lube believe that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society. Jiffy Lube created this campaign to help raise funds to support this organization in order to make a difference in the community.
“We are so grateful to our customers for making donations to support our local Boy Scouts chapter,” said Jim Orsi, operational manager at Jiffy Lube. “On their behalf, we are proud to present the Boy Scouts of America with a check for $2,902. We’re honored we can contribute and support their mission and future endeavors.”
“We are extremely grateful to Jiffy Lube for its outstanding show of support for the local scouting program here in the Midlands. The generosity of Jiffy Lube and its customers is helping to make a big difference in the lives of young people, their families, and communities through the Indian Waters Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
As we celebrate 100 years of service to the community, the Boy Scouts of America is proud to partner with Jiffy Lube to continue to provide the character–building programs that have been so important for so many people over the years,” said Douglas Stone, scout executive for the Columbia council.
