“Breaking Up is Hard to Do” premiers February 12

Kendrick Cross, “Kenny the Poet” Kendrick Cross, “Kenny the Poet” Columbia’s own Kendrick Cross, “Kenny the Poet,” local actor and poet, will host the Columbia premiere of the movie “Breaking Up is Hard to Do” Friday, February 12 at the Columbia Museum of Art, at 6:30 pm and 9 pm. Cross plays the leading role in the film with Demetria McKinney of “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.” Tabari Sturdivant, who also works for Tyler Perry, is director.

In “Breaking Up is Hard to Do” Vince, played by Cross, and Shonda, played by McKinney, begin counseling with open minds and hope the doctor will be able to guide them as they decide what is best for their relationship.

Kenny Cross has been acting for 10 years and has appeared in movies such as “Death Sentence” with Kevin Bacon, “Nailed” with Jessica Biel and Tracy Morgan, “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” plus many national and regional commercials.
