The Palace of Versailles is just ten miles outside Paris, but it is another world. The French kings Louis XIV, XV, and XVI and their consorts – Marie–Thérèse, Madame du Barry, and Marie– Antoinette – lived in Versailles like no other people have ever lived on earth. I took these photos during the trip Linda and I took to France in August 2009.
