The king and queen of France had their own Coronation Room in the Chateau. The Palace of Versailles is just ten miles outside Paris, but it is another world. The French kings Louis XIV, XV, and XVI and their consorts – Marie–Thérèse, Madame du Barry, and Marie– Antoinette – lived in Versailles like no other people have ever lived on earth. I took these photos during the trip Linda and I took to France in August 2009.
