The following special activities, classes and workshops are being offered at Capital Senior Center, along with the traditional health/fitness, educational and arts/crafts classes held at the Center:

Trivia with Margo & Courtney

Quiz yourself – come out for the new weekly Trivia Game. Moderate–difficulty questions, with snacks, drinks, and prizes. Sponsored by Southlake Village and United Hospice. Wednesdays for eight weeks, January 20–March 10, 11 am–12 noon.

Grief Relief Support Group

This is a flexible, cheerful, supportive, and confidential discussion to help individuals examine their personal losses, regardless of what they may be. Led by Sylvia Hipp, LSW, participants will learn to move through their own personal grieving process and emerge healthier and stronger. Second and fourth Wednesdays, 11:30 am–1 pm.

Golden Friendship Club

Interested in making some new friends? Twice a month, The Golden Friendship Club has a potluck dinner, followed by socializing and dancing. Bring your favorite covered dish to share. Second and fourth Mondays, 6:30 pm.

Valentine’s Day Dance

Enjoy live music with the Center’s house band and dance the night away. $5 at the door Friday, February 12, 7:30 pm
