Graveside service for Gay Blackmon Fuller, 98, were held at 1 pm Saturday, January 2, 2010, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mrs. Fuller, wife of the late C.L. Fuller, died Sunday, December 27, 2009. Born in Kershaw County in 1911, she was a daughter of DeWitt Talmadge and Dessie Irene Blackmon. She attended Columbia schools and the University of SC. She was a former member of the Azalea Garden Club and did volunteer work with the Red Cross during WWII. She was on the board and finance chairman at the Y.W.C.A. from 1962–1966. She was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church, having been a member since 1921. She was a member of Friendship Sunday School class and Olive Lawton Circle.

She is survived by sons: C.L. “Larry” Fuller III and his wife, Donna of Columbia; Jerry T. Fuller and his wife, Pat of Columbia; daughter, Gaye Fuller Hyatt of Rock Hill; six grandchildren: Lee Ann Guthrie and her husband, Stephen of San Diego; Todd H. Fuller and his wife, Suzanne of Augusta, Ga.; J. Bryan Fuller and his wife, Jeanette of Knoxville, Tenn.; Michelle Hyatt Princehorn of Rock Hill; Bill H. Hyatt of Lexington; Leila Hyatt of Rock Hill; 11 great–grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, three brothers, and a grandson, Scott B. Fuller.
