Girls Empowered join forces
Blythewood Middle School Girls Empowered (GE) joined forces with GE groups from Longleaf Middle School and Richland Northeast to sponsor a “sock drive,” for the Cooperative Ministries of Columbia.
BMS GE join forces
Participants from each school invited their mothers, grandmothers, and close female friends to gather Saturday, December 12, 2009, at the main Cooperative Ministries office in order to deliver the donations and to learn more about the history, purpose, and goals of the Cooperative Ministries for South Carolina.
In addition to the service learning project, GE participants, parents, and guests formed a “circle of wisdom” and shared empowering life lessons, quotes, and advice.
