Genevieve Elizabeth Choate
Nine daughters, one granddaughter, and three nieces were presented at the South Carolina Debutante Ball on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at Forest Lake Club.
Receiving guests at the reception were Mr. and Mrs. David Christian Goodall, chairman of the board; Mr. and Mrs. David Malcolm Choate, president of the Ball; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wallace Salley, president– elect and chairman of the Ball; the debutante daughters and their fathers and the debutante granddaughter and her grandfather. The presentation of the debutantes was followed by the debutante figure led by Miss Genevieve Elizabeth Choate.

The debutantes each carried a bouquet of 12 red Freedom Roses with Italian ruscus and salal, wrapped with cream double faced satin ribbon.

Following the presentation and debutante figure, the members, debutantes, and guests dined and danced to the music of the Ross Holmes Band. Seated at the head table were Mr. and Mrs. David Christian Goodall, chairman of the board; Mr. and Mrs. David Malcolm Choate, president of the Ball; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wallace Salley, president–elect and chairman of the Ball; Mr. and Mrs. Tobias Gavin Ward Jr., vice– president and co–chairman of the Ball. After dinner, coffee was served in the foyer.
