Upstate Congress- man Gresham Barrett was the keynote speaker. In his speech, Barrett said he ran his family’s furniture store in Westminster until he sold it in 2006, but it gave him the small business experience that should be a pre–requisite to serve in public office, especially Congress.

Further into his speech, Barrett reminded the audience of nuclear power’s place in the state in that the industry employs more than the combined total of the current number of employees at BMW and the expected number at the future Boeing plant.
