Miss Sample and Mr. Walters exchange wedding vows December 5, 2009

Paige Hamlin Sample of Columbia, South Carolina, and Joshua Thomas Walters of Valparaiso, Indiana, were married December 5, 2009 at Jamestown United Methodist Church in Jamestown, North Carolina. The 6 pm ceremony was performed by The Reverend Doctor Gary Royals.

Mrs. Joshua Thomas Walters Mrs. Joshua Thomas Walters The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Herndon Sample of Columbia and Greensboro, North Carolina, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Martin Jr. of Forest Acres and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Herndon Sample Sr. of Columbia. The bride graduated from Irmo High School and Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia. She received a BA in design and advertising. She also received a master’s degree from Virginia Tech University in Health Promotions. She is employed by Stryker Medical as Central Carolina Territory Manager.

The bridegroom is the son of Ms. Patricia Walters of Concord, North Carolina, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Harry Walters of Valparaiso, Indiana. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Henderson of Youngstown, Ohio, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert David Walters, also of Youngstown. The bridegroom graduated from Wheeler High and Purdue University in West LaFayette, Indiana, with a degree in electrical engineering. He is the internal systems director for Automated Solutions, DBA Integrated Motion in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The matron of honor was Jennifer Sample Al- Hussaini, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Amanda Louise Barrett, Meagan Drolet Burnham, Jennifer McLaughlin Patterson, Jill Allison Paulk, Dr. Rebecca Sanders Ward, and Caitlin Morrell Williams. The flower girl was Julia Sophie Al–Hussaini, niece of the bride.

The father of the bridegroom served as the best man. The groomsmen were James Barrett, Daniel Blair, Alexander Calder, Kevin Kenny, Joshua King, and Charles Williams. The junior groomsmen were James Al–Hussaini Jr. and Zachery Barrett, nephews of the bride and bridegroom. The ring bearer was Jack Al–Hussaini, nephew of the bride.

A reception, dinner, and dance followed at The Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in their new home in Greensboro, North Carolina.
