Jaycees host Roast and Toast

Columbia Jaycees will host the first annual Roast and Toast to Camp Hope to benefit the South Carolina Jaycees Camp Hope. The event will take place Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 7 pm at the Gamecock Pavilion at 1129 Bluff Road.

The event will include all–you–can–eat oysters, chili, and vegetarian chili provided by Blue Marlin Signature Catering and live music by The Blue Laws. Beer and wine is also included with ticket price.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Jaycees Camp Hope, a statewide residential camp for mentally challenged citizens located in the upstate of South Carolina. The camp gives campers helpful experiences in an outdoor environment to develop his or her ability to work and play in a group and provides new experiences unique to a camp setting.

Columbia Jaycees is a 501 (c )3 not–for–profit leadership group for young professional volunteers aged 21–40. The mission is to provide young people the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills through local community action and organizational involvement while expanding the Junior Chamber movement.
