St. Andrews Rotary hosts councilman


The Rotary Cub of St Andrews hosted Kirkman Finlay III on November 17 at its regularly scheduled meeting at Ryan’s Grill on Bower Parkway near Columbiana Centre Mall. Finlay is a Columbia native, business owner, and son of the late Columbia mayor Kirkman Finlay, Jr. He is married to Kathleen Ravenel Finlay, and they have three daughters. Kirkman has also served on the board of Palmetto Health Foundation, Central Carolina Community Foundation, and the Boy Scouts of America to name just a few. He was elected to the Columbia City Council from District 4 in 2006 and plans to run for Mayor of the City of Columbia. Contributed by Col.
