Shandon United Methodist Church is celebrating 100 years of ministry. As part of the year’s celebration, Bob Spear led the congregation in the dedication of the time capsule that will be opened in the year 2059. He said, “Today, we dedicate a time capsule to signify that our time is God’s time.” The congregation responded with “For everything there is a season, and for every activity under heaven its time. We know that whatever God does lasts forever. And God has done it all in such a way that everyone must feel awe in God’s presence.”
