Jingle All the Way

concer t featur ing Béla Fleck and The Flecktones don’t have to let the evening fade with the music. They can now attend an after–party with the band.

The SCP is announcing an official meet– and–greet after–party at the Koger Center following the 8 pm concert on Tuesday, December 1. For $50 per person, guests can meet the band, have a photo opportunity, and enjoy wine and cheese. Tickets are limited to 100 and on sale now through the SCP by calling 803.254.PHIL (7445) to charge by phone.

Béla Fleck and the Flecktones’ album Jingle

All the Way (Rounder) won the 2009 Grammy for best pop instrumental album. The fiery single “Sleigh Ride” from the decorated album was nominated for best country instrumental performance. The band is set to per form “Sleigh Ride” and other songs from the album, many with the orchestra. The band is also to play non–holiday songs with and without the orchestra. Columbia is the first stop on the Flecktones’ nationwide Holiday Tour.

The band is led by Grammy–nominated banjo player Béla Fleck. Brothers Victor Lemonte Wooten and Roy “Future Man” Wooten, who play bass and percussion, respectively, and saxophonist Jeff Coffin round out the band. Together, they’ve produced 12 albums since 1990 and won Grammy Awards in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2007, and 2009.
