Richland One announces vacancy on county board

Richland County School District One has an appointee vacancy on the Richland County Board of Assessment Appeals.

The board’s responsibilities include hearing citizens’ complaints regarding the assessed value of all taxable property within Richland County. The board meets twice a month. Members serve three–year terms. Knowledge of real estate is helpful.

Persons interested in being considered for this position must reside within the Richland One attendance boundaries and should submit a letter of interest to Eva Wilson, special assistant to the Richland One Board of School Commissioners, at 1616 Richland Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Interest letters must be received by December 1, 2009.
