Rendezvous in Elmwood Cemetery are offensive
2009-11-13 / Opinion/Crime
In my entire life, it never occurred to me that people would go to a cemetery to have a party.
Recently, a 66–year–old assistant state attorney general was found at Elmwood Cemetery in the company of an 18–year–old burlesque queen.
New reports indicated that police regularly patrol Elmwood in the hope of keeping the cemetery from being used for rendezvous.
I am stunned. My mother and father are buried there. I am offended on their behalf and on behalf of the thousands of others who went there in search of eternal rest.
