Help Flora grads
After receiving news of Cynthia Edwards McCrary’s (Flora ’69) death, an email went out to A.C. Flora’s First Five Years alumni with information about the Cynthia Edwards McCrary Scholarship fund. Cynthia’s classmates and family wanted others who knew Cynthia to have an opportunity to remember and honor Cynthia’s life and career as a teacher by contributing to a scholarship that would be awarded to a Flora graduate pursuing a degree in education as Cynthia once did.
Something new has taken place! We now have a tremendous opportunity to do even more than originally discussed and planned. We have been challenged to give... not ONE, but TWO... scholarships in perpetuity!
A very generous Flora alum who wishes to remain anonymous will match all donations received by December 31, 2009, by Central Carolina Community Foundation … dollar for dollar… up to $10,000!
Please help us achieve this goal.
The Cynthia Edwards McCrary Scholarship will not only help future Flora graduating seniors entering an accredited college seeking a degree in education, it will also bear the name of a Flora alumni whose life and teachings will continue to serve as a role model for future generations of Falcons.
Central Carolina Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your gift is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
