Red Cross responds to disaster

When you invest in the American Red Cross, ninety one cents of each dollar goes directly back into your community.

On Sunday evening, the Red Cross responded to the Cypress Run Apartment fire. Twelve units were affected, 15 people were sheltered in local hotels, and six Red Cross workers were on the scene and worked even throughout October 27 to provide emotional counseling to these disaster victims. More than $3000 in direct financial service has been provided: Hotel rooms, comfort kits, client assistance cards to purchase clothes, food and life sustaining medications.
