In 2010, the Boy Scouts of America will celebrate its 100th anniversary. In Columbia, the Indian Waters Council, chartered in 1916, has planned a year of celebrations.
The Council Camporee will be held Saturday, November 7 in Camden. About 1,000 boys and their leaders will demonstrate a myriad of outdoor activities.
Visitors are invited to participate in many of the events. There will be music, food and drink vendors, Scouting demonstrations, trading posts and displays from outdoor gear stores.
