The South Carolina District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is currently accepting nominations for the 2010 SBA small business awards including the Small Business Person of the Year award. The deadline for submission is Friday, December 4, 2009.

In addition to the Small Business Person of the Year, the awards include numerous categories for both small businesses and small business advocates. The South Carolina Small Business Person of the Year winner will attend the national Small Business Week celebration in Washington, D.C., to compete for the title of National Small Business Person of the Year. Award winners in other categories go on to compete at the regional and, if eligible, national level. All winners are also honored here in South Carolina at the annual Salute to Small Business in the spring.
