EPC, a surplus IT equipment recycling and remarketing company with locations across the United States, contracted Cohn Construction Services to design and build the company’s newest facility. An expanded staff of local talent will be hired to help operate this new EPC branch.
Cohn Construction Services completed the 30,000 square foot industrial building project this past summer. The facility was constructed according to a highly energy–efficient and “green” thermal building design. Sustainable building functions and features include BASF SMARTKOTE“ heat–reflecting wall and standing– seam roof panels, a high efficiency HVAC and insulation system, and insulated windows. Other building highlights include exterior split face block with extensive brick accented masonry detailing, large office spaces, high–grade interior finishing, custom casework and cabinetry, modern warehouse with computer diagnostic stations, electrical redundancy, advanced fire suppression, and racking systems.
“EPC has grown from a small computer services company to establish itself as one of the largest IT recyclers in the US. We have a great deal of respect for our clients, and we are impressed by the environmental philosophies and values the company upholds. We are excited to be a part of the company’s growth and proud to welcome it to the Columbia marketplace. We believe EPC will make a meaningful contribution to our community.,” said Harris Cohn, Cohn Construction Services, LLC president.
